This year’s iHeartRadio Y100 Jingle Ball Miami, originally planned to take place this past weekend, has been canceled because of Omicron concerns. Unfortunately, the announcement came just hours before Jingle Ball was planned to kick off.

Event coordinators have had to be extra cautious because of recent rises in cases from the new COVID-19 variant. In turn, they’ve had to make cancellation’s like Y100 Miami did; here’s what they said via Twitter:

“Due to the increased transmission of the new COVID-19 variant and to further minimize any potential risks, as a precautionary measure and for the safety of our staff, talent and guests, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s iHeartRadio Y100 Jingle Ball. Thank you for your understanding.”

Before the cancellation, artists like Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion and the Jonas Brothers had already removed themselves. Their individual decisions came after members of each team became sick (according to People).

Right now, full refunds are on their way to all ticketholders. Based on their recent tweet, refunds may take up to 30 days to be reflected in your account. Those who don’t receive one should reach out to their point of purchase.
