Montreal-based veteran Tiga recently penciled himself in alongside a list of fellow world-class producers, marked by his ominous recasting of the Lime favorite, “Angel Eyes.” Thus far, in celebration of the its 40th anniversary, Unidisc Music has handpicked Tiga, Claptone, Jacques Greene, Alan Fitzpatrick, and Carl Cox to reimagine some of the label’s classic IDs.

The Canadian imprint’s slew of celebratory remixes began with Claptone’s reworking of Trans-X’s “Living On Video.” Now, Tiga’s “Angel Eyes” remix arrives on the heels of Greene’s take on Lime’s “Babe We’re Gonna Love Tonight,” Fitzpatrick’s club-ready spin on Shannon’s “Let The Music Play,” and Cox’s infectious remix of Geraldine Hunt’s “Can’t Fake The Feeling.” What’s more, Unidisc plans to sustain its anniversary project with future releases, including an upcoming contribution from Purple Disco Machine.

Tiga took it upon himself to flip Lime’s “Angel Eyes” upside down, employing a menacing house progression in exchange for the jovial overtones heard in the original. The JUNO Award-winning producer’s third release of the calendar year, “Angel Eyes (Tiga Remix)” is now streaming everywhere.
