Nines has admitted to being part of a plot to import 28kg of cannabis into the UK.

The update follows the rapper’s arrest on June 3, where he faced four drugs-related offence charges.

One of said charges included conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Nines, real name Courtney Freckleton, has now pleaded guilty to drugs and money laundering charges after Harrow Crown Court found he had been involved in one successful bid, whilst another attempt had been made.

Sentencing was adjourned and the pair were remanded in custody.

They denied two further counts of conspiracy to supply cocaine and conspiracy to supply cannabis; prosecutors will not be seeking a trial on those charges, according to Prosecutor Genevieve Reed.

Nines was nominated for five MOBO Awards last year, the most of any artist, following the release of his latest album ‘Crabs In A Bucket’ via XL. He won the Album of the Year and Best Hip Hop Act prizes.
